The Outpost Post

An unknown artificer has started producing "talent rings", a new type of
magic item, in enough quantity that they are beginning to appear at the markets
in and around our Outpost. In an open Guild Council meeting last night, the
Master of the Mage's Guild stated that the rings appear well made, do not
contain dark magic, pose no threat to the wearer, and should be safe to wear.
When asked if the rings could someday completely replace guild training, the
master only chuckled and replied, "Only after you've learned a spell that
grants you fifty fingers."

The crew of the Bosun's Wife, one of the merchant ships that regularly
visits our harbor, reports that the Great Cyclone of the Western Ocean appears
to be moving south into the normal shipping lanes. While the storm's movement
brings rougher seas, they also report seeing breaks in the normally
impenetrable eye wall, a phenomenon that has not been reported for many
hundreds of years. When asked if his ship would be exploring that part of the
ocean normally hidden by the storm, Captain Antioneil of the Bosun replied,
"Not on your life. There are some places that sailors know not to go. Not
living sailors, anyway."

   Have fun!
